Hey Brian I've been using this live chart http://quote2.fxtrek.com/misc/fxcm2.asp to trade EUR/USD. The best i have found so far with candlesticks. If you are scalping you can use the 1 minute chart. For the pivot points im using this one http://www.actionforex.com/technical-analysis/pivot-points/eurusd-(pivot-points)-200603205733/

I tried your suggestion of supp/res on forex and found that I lose money because I tend to panic. I tried scalping by fading my "normal" buy/sell and have been able to make 5 pips per day on the mini forex.I will attempt to make 10 pips a day.
I am in contact with Keith Long and will keep you posted.

scalping is very difficult particularly fo beginners if steph is successful at it its because he lost money learning and he's got enough experience to do it. You need massive discipline and have a personality that is suited to this very difficult approach. There are lots of games played in futures by the smart money and you will get wiped out several times b4 you master it do you really want that? (jmho) The easiest and least stressfull style of trading is swing trading using medium term support/resistance-these technical levels mean the most to the thousands of computors and big money behind them.Sup/res will either hold or fail very simple strategy you either anticipate or just jump on for the ride. The S&P500 trades these levels perfectly and also fibs and pivots.Today, for example, 1316 support, held twice before breaking and the high-1333.2 was +1.000% the low 1307.8 was -1.000% (+/- from previous close) The close-1308.7 was within a point of that ratio.Almost never a day when OHLC are not ratios from previous close or open. I quote all these calculations everyday on my blog for the trading day ahead if you want to take a look-good luck
